Our ADUs are designed using high-quality materials and detailing similar to those in our larger luxury homes. We offer full customization on our units. Many clients start with a base design and modify it to fit their unique needs and site conditions.

We design the architecture, interiors and landscape on most of our projects. We’ve designed both the architecture and interiors on our ADU’s to blend harmoniously together so you are delivered a cohesive high-quality, high-end product. We offer custom landscape and site design services to help integrate the unit seamlessly onto your property. Our primary goals on a project are to deliver a high quality product and make the experience enjoyable for our clients.

Preliminary Consultation

We first start out with a preliminary consultation to understand your general goals and property. Our goal is to understand the project, help educate you on the process, and answer any questions you may have. To schedule your preliminary consultation, click the button below.

 
 

Preliminary Site Analysis & Planning

Next we will do a preliminary site analysis to help guide the selection of the best unit for your property and needs. We review the city requirements, asses lot opportunities/constraints, and offer our recommendation for placement and orientation of the unit on site.

Unit Selection & Customization

Next, we work with the client to select the best unit for their property. We typically customize the unit to fit your unique needs and goals. Sometimes, this involves minor material changes, and other times, it involves floorplan modifications and structural changes.

Typically, some degree of site planning and landscape design is involved in making the unit blend into the existing property and complement the primary residence.

 
 

Engineering

Next, will be engineering. This is the technical phase of the project, where our team will update the architectural drawings for construction and work with our engineers to meet the unique requirements of your city.

 
 

Plan Check and Approval

After engineering is complete, we will submit to your city for plan check approval. We are working with many cities to have our plans pre-approved. However, there is typically still a review process we have to go through at this stage. Bear with us at this point; sometimes, the cities can be difficult. However, we’ve been through this process hundreds of times and have a good idea of the issues the cities will bring up, thus helping to save time. Our team is always pushing to get through this process as efficiently as possible.

 
 

Construction

Once plans are approved by the city, we can begin construction. During the construction process our team will perform regular site visits to be sure the unit is being constructed according to the drawings. Our goal is to work with the contractor to answer any questions he/she has and observe construction to ensure your ADU is being built with high quality and care.
