Story:
Nestled on a wooded hillside in Newport Coast, this family estate opens to sweeping, 180-degree ocean views to the southwest. Limestone walls and expansive glass openings bring warmth and light to the home, framing where landscape meets sea. The design blends our modern sensibility with the neighborhood’s required Mediterranean architectural language, balancing clean lines with traditional forms.
Beginning in 2019, we guided the project as architect from its first conception through completion over nearly five years. A particularly rewarding collaboration with the contractor helped bring the design into focus and give it lasting form. We are grateful to him and the owners for their trust and the opportunity to shape this home together.
