Story:

As our first Eichler restoration, this project allowed our team to pursue our passion for mid-century modern architecture. To date, we have worked on three Eichlers. We carefully work through many nuances, ranging from detailing to materials, on these projects. It is a delicate balance of preserving the original design integrity while tastefully bringing the home up to contemporary standards and ways of living. We restored the exterior and interior of this project and designed the landscape. During the process, we dove into the history of Joseph Eichler and the architect A. Quincy Jones. Our research helped us to uncover specifics about the homes, materials, and design goals. Much of what we learned on this and other Eichlers has translated into the designs of our other projects. We love working on these homes and are honored to contribute to the history of mid-century modern architecture in Southern California.
